March 24 – The FIFA mission to Nairobi, aimed at achieving a resolution of the crisis bedevilling Kenyan football, has by all accounts ended in triumph, with agreement between the parties on the way forward out of the crisis.

March 23 – A delegation tasked by FIFA with finding a solution to the Kenyan football crisis, including Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi, development officer Ashford Mamelodi, and FIFA’s head of Member Associations Primo Carvaro has arrived in Nairobi. A meeting which will include Kenya Football Federation (FKF) and Kenyan Premier League (KPL) officials is scheduled for Monday evening.

March 20 – The General Secretary of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Musa Amadu (pictured), tendered his resignation on Wednesday after, according to unconfirmed reports in local media, a row with NFF President Amaju Pinnick over money, specifically FIFA grants and a $3.6 million loan from the Federal Government.

March 19 – In the wake of Monday’s lifting of the Kenyan Football Federation (FKF) injunction against the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), the KPL has announced new fixtures to make up for the two weekends lost, whilst reports suggest the rival FKF Premier League will be signing a broadcast deal this Friday.

March 19 – FIFA president Sepp Blatter has personally intervened to stop Sierra Leone authorities trying to sweep allegations of match-fixing under the carpet.
March 17 – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reported a number of players to law enforcement agencies over allegations they bet on their own team to lose.

March 16 – The attempt by the Kenyan Football Federation (FKF) to put an end to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) by taking matters to the civil courts was defeated comprehensively in the Kenyan High Court this morning as the Judge ruled the FKF does not have the capacity to sue.

March 13 – Kenyan Premier League officials have walked free from court after being cleared of the contempt of court charges brought against them by the Kenyan Football Federation and its President Sam Nyamweya. The ruling comes in spite of a remarkable letter being sent to the FKL by FIFA Deputy Secretary General Markus Kattner in which he explicitly scotched reports that FIFA had requested the withdrawal of the case.

March 13 -The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and renewable energy company, First Eco Partners, held a ceremony the Football House in Kanifing to celebrate the signing of three-year sponsorship deal for the GFF first division league, reportedly worth D3m (£47,000) which was first announced in January.

March 11 – Whilst the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) worries that its 2015 government grant of N1.2 billion ($60 million) is insufficient, its belated appearance before parliament on Tuesday proved a disaster as the Sports Committee insisted the federation provide full disclosure of its accounts – including how money from FIFA and sponsors has been spent.

March 11 – Although FIFA have reportedly ordered the Kenyan Football Federation (FKF) to withdraw their court case against the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), at the time of writing Bob Munro, the founder of two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominated Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) and his colleagues on the board of the KPL still face a possible 6 months in jail, if FKF President Sam Nyamweya does not relent.
March 10 – The South African government has accused FIFA of not acting decisively enough over match-fixing investigations, notably regarding a series of warm-up games that preceded the 2010 World Cup.

March 6 – The Kenya Football Federation (FKF) initiated injunction against the Kenya Premier League (KPL) was extended until March 13 at Thursday’s High Court hearing and this morning it was ruled that the attempt of Sammy Sholei and Dan Shikanda to be enjoined to the case has been successful. Meanwhile a FIFA spokesperson has told Insideworldfootball the world governing body is monitoring the situation.

March 5 – The Football Federation of Kenya (FKF) initiated court case, attempting to put an end to the Kenyan Premier League and replace it with a League made up primarily of what were second tier clubs, looks certain to proceed on toady, despite a High Court Judge on Tuesday giving the two sides 48 hours to try and sort the matter amicably.
