August 25 – All forms of betting may be illegal in Saudi Arabia, but the rules do not extend to Saudi-owned Newcastle United who have announced a multi-year partnership with online bookmaker Sportsbet.io.
August 23 – Leicester City, relegated from the Premier League last season but now joint top of the Championship, have extended their partnership with online sports betting and casino brand Parimatch, managed by Gibraltar-based online gambling operator BVGroup.
August 17 – Asian facing online bookmaker 6686 Sport has become Wolverhampton Wanderers’ new sleeve partner for the 2023/24 season.
August 10 – AS Monaco have announced a three-year regional partnership with online bookmaker 6686 sport for Asia.
June 24 – Online bookmaker Meridianbet has expanded its agreement with the Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG) to become the official sponsor of Montenegrin football.
May 31 – Crystal Palace have announced online betting business Kaiyun Sports as the club’s Official Sleeve Partner in a one-season deal for 2023/24.
May 22 – While Brazil has been plunged into a betting related match-fixing crisis, Argentinean clubs are moving deeper into the online gambling sponsorship market. Betsson has agreed a short sponsorship with Racing Club de Avellaneda for the 2023-24 season.
May 10 – With the UK gambling review proposing a new Code of Conduct for betting sponsorship deals with football teams, League One Peterborough United who are in the play-offs chasing a spot in the EFL Championship, have agreed a two-year deal with Irish bookmaker QuinnBet.
March 29 – Manchester City has signed a new regional partnership with SportyBet who will become the club’s Official Betting Partner in Africa.
March 17 – Fortaleza Esporte Clube has unveiled online bookmaker Novibet as the team’s main sponsor in a two-year deal starting this season.
February 27 – Olympique de Marseille has unveiled online sports bookmaker Mojabet as the club’s official African betting partner in a six-year deal running to 2028.
January 25 – Another premium sponsorship asset in Brazil has been picked up by an online bookmaker. EstrelaBet have become a main sponsor of the Mineiro state championship – Campeonato Mineiro.
January 19 – Betting sponsorship of football in the barely regulated markets of South America is continuing to expand with Betsson announcing it is extending its partnership with the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) for four years.
December 12 –Brazil-focussed online bookmaker Pixbet has added another top flight club, agreeing a three-year sponsorship with Sao Paulo giants Corinthians.
November 22 – FIFA, whose articles of association used to prevent it from betting partnerships as it was operating under Swiss chartable laws, has announced its first World Cup betting partner for an event that is taking place in a muslim country where all forms of betting are outlawed.
