May 18 – The long expected sale of Nottingham Forest has been completed with NF Football Investments (NFFI), headed by Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis, taking 100% control.
May 17 – Chinese brother and sister Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li (pictured) who failed to complete on the acquisition of Hull City last year after the Premier League ruled against their deal, may become Premier League club owners after all having become the majority shareholders in Reading.
May 16 – Liverpool are the best value team for entertainment this season across all four English professionals divisions, according to an analysis by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk. In contrast Manchester United offer the worst value for entertainment at Old Trafford.

May 16 – Manchester United, setting themselves up for a Europa Cup final season finale, are also predicting a big year-end finish for their financials, forecasting a better than expected financial performance.
May 16 – The International Champions Cup are having a second shot at staging the first ever Manchester derby outside Manchester. This time the US organisers are looking to play the game at the NRG Stadium in Houston Texas.
May 11 – With Tottenham Hotspur rapidly ramping up commemorative events and merchandise for the club’s final game at White Hart Lane before the stadium is pulled down to make way for a new 61,559 seat arena, chairman Daniel Levy has said the club could now spend two years at Wembley while construction takes place.

May 9 – Monaco have completed their takeover of Belgian club Cercle Brugge. The French purchased Brugge as a part of their youth development strategy, but also want to steer the club back to the Belgian top flight.

May 8 – The money machine that is Manchester United have knocked arch-rivals Liverpool off the top of Insideworldfootball’s Premier League of profits listing for 2015-16.
May 8 – The success of their newly opened Main Stand that pushed Liverpool’s Anfield stadium capacity to 54,074 has prompted the club to accelerate a feasibility study of extending the ground further to more than 60,000.

May 5 – Relegated Sunderland have reported a loss as they prepare for life in the second tier of English football. The Wearside club reported an after-tax loss of £33 million for the year to 31 July 2016. This is down from a loss of £26.6 million the previous year.
May 5 – Tianjin Quanjian have denied Chelsea striker Diego Costa has agreed to move to the Chinese Super League after reports in Spain claimed the Brazilian-born striker would move in the summer for an Asian record-breaking $100 million fee.
May 5 – Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium reconstruction already looks to be delayed with the club now not expecting to move out of the current stadium until the 2019-20 season – a year later than originally planned.
May 3 – ‘Points mean prizes’ as the old gameshow catchphrase goes. In football’s version of the gameshow the phrase would more accurately be ‘money wins prizes’ according to the latest analysis of the CIES Football Observatory.

May 2 – The story of Portsmouth Football Club has been more of a rollercoaster ride than a fairy tale in recent seasons. The club plummeted from the Premier League in 2010, sinking to Division 2 by 2014. During this time they went bust, changed owners and were rescued by fans. Now, despite a loyal and sizeable support, the club is struggling to keep its Fratton Park stadium open.
May 2 – Tottenham Hotspur will play just one more game at its current White Hart Lane stadium, against Manchester United on May 14, before bulldozers move in and demolish the structure to make way for the new stadium to take its place.
